About Me

A Little Words About Us

Kenner, LA Finest Private Lessons Institute

I have experience teaching beginner, intermediate and advanced levels of each of the above mentioned instruments and their families. I communicate well with youths as well as adults and experience a high percentage of students continuing to return for instruction. I really enjoy teaching and see positive results among my students. My students consistently place in District, All Star Marching and All State Honor Bands. They routinely receive ratings of Excellent and Superior at Solo and Ensemble adjudications. As a rule, my students have gone on to enjoy amateur as well as professional careers in various aspects of the music industry.

A Private Lessons Institute Like No Other

I initiated my endeavor as a private instructor in the 8th grade. I started teaching the neighborhood children how to play clarinet to add to their once weekly grammar school classroom music education. Ever since then, I have been active as a private teacher of the clarinet. Once I got into college, I added to my resume, piano, flute, saxophone, oboe and bassoon instruction and performance as well. I have continued to teach these instruments in private lessons as well as in group situations after receiving my Bachelors and Masters degrees in Music Performance. I have experience in orchestra music, music theater, small ensemble, large ensemble, jazz ensemble and marching band. I have professional experience as a performer, conductor and instructor in each of those genres. I have worked in the Hammond, Baton Rouge, Lake Charles, and New Orleans areas throughout my career as a performer, conductor, adjudicator and private instructor.
